Mission Statement
COMMITTED both to BEING AND MAKING, WORD-ABIDING, FRUIT PRODUCING, LOVING Disciples of JESUS CHRIST.
Faith Affirmation of the Session of Faith United Presbyterian Church
Regarding Jesus Christ: We believe Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior of All. He is the truth, the Light, and the only way to eternal life. Salvation is only through Jesus Christ and there is no other supplement or means.
Regarding the Bible: We believe the entire Bible is the Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit to lead people to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and to help them understand His Nature. We believe the entire Bible is True and infallible.
Regarding Abortion: We believe the Bible does not distinguish between prenatal and
postnatal Life. An unborn child is a person and should be protected as a person. We
believe abortion is not of God, unless the life of the mother or child, or for very extreme situations, the child should not be aborted.
Regarding Homosexuality: We believe that homosexual practices, like many other
things, are sinful. Professing or practicing homosexuals are not permitted to be in any position of Leadership within our church, (Pastors, Youth- Leaders, Elders, Deacons, Teachers, etc.), We do not believe in the ordination of confessing or practicing homosexuals in any such positions. We do want to be clear that we welcome all people to worship with us.
Regarding Euthanasia: We believe that God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit has all authority over Life and Death.
